KAT-TUN, at the height of their popularity with their recent official debut after years of activities that already established them a steady fan base, is facing a crisis of sorts.

 Apparently, Akanishi Jin of the popular Johonny Jr. boy band KAT-TUN is to be stopping all band related activities to go study abroad for half a year or maybe even longer.

Akanishi Jin, nick named Jin or Bakanishi by adoring fans, is one of the 2 most popular members of the band. The sudden news of his plans has upset more than a few fans.

The officials at Johnny Jr. (the company KAT-TUN belongs to) have written a formal announcement announcing the stopping of all Akanishi Jin's entertainment activities due to his wish to study abroad.

 The "letter" explained that Akanishi has long since wished to go study abroad, and had been stalled by the company due to KAT-TUN's official debut earlier this year. However, Johnny's Jr explains, since Akanish is very set on going abroad, they are honoring his wish and thus putting an abrupt stop on all his activities so he could study in a foreign country for approximately half a year. There was also the note that, since the period of studies is only tentative, there has not been any decisions on when to resume his career activities.

 There was no mention of where Akanishi is planning to base his studies in. But since he has known to like America, it is not out of the question.
